About Soul Impact

Our story.

Soul Impact was born from the mental health treatment gap faced by South African individuals, and the desperate need for support tailored to the unique needs of our people.

women will be raped or sexually assaulted in their lifetime

Highest
leader-to-support ratio, least mental health support: middle management

At Soul Impact, the unique South African climate presented us with an increasing need for specialised support that transcends ‘employee wellness’. With the buy-in and guidance of leaders in the contact centre industry (Tanya Phillips, Rudi Jansen and Kobus van der Westhuizen), we were able to create a unique mental health support system comprised of Resilience Training and Impact Counselling.

Leadership Resilience Training

Emotional resilience is the one asset your competitors can’t automate.

A safe space for leadership and middle management to learn the psychosocial tools that foster resilience and compassion in the workplace.

Why leadership?

Let's look at the facts.

Highest ratio, least support

Middle management has the highest leader-to-subordinate ratio, but often the least mental health support when compared to advisors.

R80,000 per departure

Every time a trained agent walks out the door due to burnout or a ‘hard’ manager, you lose R80,000 in replacement costs.

The human frontline

As AI takes over routine queries, your human staff are left with 100% of the high-stress, emotionally complex escalations. Managers untrained in emotional resilience are leading a frontline structurally unequipped for the 2026 market.

The bottom line: emotional resilience and compassion are the only assets your competitors can’t automate. Having resilient leaders who can cope with stress, communicate compassionately and feel equipped to cope is crucial in our current climate.

What we cover

Modules built for the floor, not the classroom.

Stress Management at Work

Navigating overwhelm, identifying triggers, and building a healthy coping toolkit for high-pressure days.

Compassion & Leadership

Leading teams with empathy without losing authority, and recognising compassion fatigue before it takes hold.

Personal Resilience

Practical tools to regulate emotion and sustain performance through sustained pressure.

Plus a module on Financial Obligation, a leading source of stress for South African teams. Workshops can be condensed or tailored to your company's specific soft-skill needs.

Let's build a resilient leadership team on your floor.

In their own words

What changes when someone is heard.

The wellness team has saved my life. This team does not just help you over the phone, they meet you face to face, they sit with you in the mud, and they help you to help yourself. I have been to counselling before, and I have never been helped the way this team does.
An advisor who was about to quit. He was later promoted to team leader, then trainer, and is now training with Lifeline himself.

The cost of doing nothing

What unmanaged stress is already costing you.

Absenteeism, presenteeism and stress-driven resignations are the ‘silent margin killer’ in South African workplaces, most of it invisible because it's baked into your operational noise. Here's how it typically breaks down for a floor of any size.

Direct wage loss

Stress-related sick days paid for zero output: industry data shows an average of 6 or more per person, per year.

The overtime tax

Every absence has to be covered to hold your SLAs, typically at a 1.5× premium on the base rate.

Presenteeism

The costliest and least visible line: people who show up but are mentally checked out cost around 4× more than absenteeism in lost quality and output.

The attrition tax

Every manager who can't regulate their own stress burns replacement cost every time a team member resigns because of it.

See it in your own numbers

Put your numbers in. Watch what changes.

This starts at industry-default assumptions. Replace them with your own salary bands, sick days and attrition to see what unmanaged stress is costing your floor, and what Soul Impact would recover.

What's helpful to include

The faster we understand your floor, the faster we can put together something useful. A short message with these details goes a long way:

  • Your company name and industry
  • Approximate headcount (agents and managers)
  • What's prompting the enquiry: attrition, burnout, a specific incident, or just proactive care
  • Whether you're after Impact Counselling, Resilience Training, or both
